I'm a writer. Currently I'm writing comics. I have no desire currently to write capes/tights Big Two material. I enjoy READING those items. I enjoy toying with them. But why work for them when I can work WITH you and create our own intellectual property? Lots of things on the burner these days, but nothing boiling over means that most of it's quiet. That doesn't mean I can't tease every once in awhile... let's do that!
Firstly, COLONIAL SOULS has a full first issue completed. Andrew R. MacLean ~Andrew-Ross-MacLean (https://www.deviantart.com/andrew-ross-maclean) applied his unique inks to the project, along with hand-lettering, and a lot of... well, soul. He's currently knee-deep in the second issue, and his art seems to get more dynamic with each page.

If I have any goal currently it would be to assemble a pitch well in advance of Emerald City Comic Con (the last week of March). I'll be attending the convention and I'd like to use it as an opportunity to follow up with publishers face-to-face on something I've already blindly submitted. I had a few things I thought might line up, but they appear to have fallen through.
That means I need linework, colors, lettering, logos, and design in place for something new by the beginning of March.

Since then... well, we rocked it. Made a pitch from the ground up.

Hey friends.
Recently had a flurry of good fortune. Three published comic writers that I respect each requested my skills separately-- one to write essentially an "issue" of book, another to co-write a mini series that we'll pursue whether or not publishers show interest, and a final to serve as an editor for a pitch. All really awesome opportunities that reinforce my belief that I've got something to offer the comic book medium.
That said, I remain hungry for MORE.
